I am Burhan REŞİD, a hammer collector...
I was born in Baghdad in 1958, the eldest of 4 sons of a mother from Şile, Istanbul and a Turkmen father from Iraq. We moved to Şile, where we came for 2-3 months every summer, for good when I was 11 years old.

The focus is on artistically remarkable hammers that are much more than just an ordinary tool. Pieces of high aesthetic and historical value, such as carvings, special metalwork and hammers associated with historical events, are considered.

These hammers, which come from the depths of history and have stood the test of time, make up an impressive collection. This collection has become Burhan Rashid’s passion and part of his life.
